The Farmington Writers Circle is an organization of experienced, professional writers from the Farmington, New Mexico, area, who want to explore and develop more effective ways of publicizing and marketing their works. Most meetings are round table discussions, though occasionally someone may be asked or may volunteer to be the night’s speaker on a topic of special interest. In past meetings, speakers have led the group discussion on topics such as using social media to promote works, finding and how to approach an agent, and how to set up a WordPress website to automatically distribute posts to other social media.
Meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The location may vary. If you are interested in attending, please contact me via this website.

On February 16, the Writers Circle had their first reading at 6:30 p.m. at the Entertainmart Hardback Cafe on 20th Street in Farmington. I read two of my short stories, “The Scent” and “The Slightest of Indiscretions” from my collection The Scent and Other Stories. Announcements of upcoming Writers Circle meetings and readings are normally posted here each Thursday. They will also be posted on the Writers Circle website.
