A Tale of Hell and Other Works of Horror is a collection of short horror fiction including short stories, flash fiction, and microfiction.   Some have been previously published, some not. It is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Click is a novelette about a Texas policeman, who, while on a secluded island recovering from the guilt of shooting an unarmed man, suddenly finds himself under attack by unknown assailants and caught up unknowingly in a web of intrigue.  It is available on Kindle and in paperback.

The Scent and Other Stories is a small collection of stories examining the dark side of love.  It is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Diabolical: Three Tales of Jack Thurston and Revenge is a collection of three short stories focusing on the retired professor of Medieval history and sorcerer, who uses the black arts to avenge himself on people who have wronged him or his family.  It is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Alien Embrace is my first foray into science fiction.  In it, I try to blur the line between reality and dreams. Logan Rickover, owner of a hardware store in a small town in Kentucky, has lucid dreams of life as an astronaut that intrude upon his life at any moment. Which of his lives is real? The quiet paradise of Danville or the terrifying jungle world of Stheno D?  It is available on Kindle and in paperback.

I have also written some mainstream fiction on a variety of topics.

I started out writing poetry in the mid-eighties to mid-nineties, of which I had several works published during those years.  I have had a few poems reprinted since then. I have collected all my works, published and unpublished, into one volume, which I published on Amazon Kindle on February 14, 2018.  I have entitled it Nocturne:  Poems of Love, Distance, and the Night, a callous and disinterested lover.  Nocturne… is a collection of my poetry written from the mid-80’s to mid-90s, a turbulent, fluid time in my life in many ways, but especially romantically. I have taken many of the poems written during those years and compiled them into a dark narrative capturing the emotional turmoil of that time as a narrator, who descends from romantic love for a woman into a lonely world of alcohol and night clubs, where his only love is the night that envelopes him psychologically, emotionally, and physically.

    1. Apologies for the delay in responding. I admit I have been slacking for some time.

About “Click”: I first came up with the idea around 1999-2000. I toyed with it off and on over the years. I finished it in probably 2015-2016, tried submitting it to a few magazines with no success, and finally decided to use it as a test of publishing via Kindle. So I polished it up as a stand-alone novelette and published it around Thanksgiving, 2016. Thanks for the inquiry.

    2. Oh, but in reply to how long it actually took, just a wild guess, but if I had worked on it continuously for 8 hours per day, it may have taken around a month.
