#Durango Public Library #Literary Festival

Phil Slattery, 2015

I attended the Durango Literary Festival at the Durango Public Library last night to find out what it was about.  There were ample and excellent refreshments (almost a buffet), beer, wine, and iced tea.  Maria’s Bookshop of Durango sponsored the event.  The speaker was New York Times best-selling author of The Passage trilogy, Justin Cronin.  Mr. Cronin was an excellent and entertaining speaker  and provided many insights into how he writes, develops characters, and how he formulated the ideas behind his trilogy.

I recommend attending next year’s event if you can.   Here are a few photos of this year’s event.
